The Oath of Alexander the Great

HELLENIC PAEDEIA (GREEK CULTURE)

In ancient time, Greece organized and gave the flame and the basis of all knowledge to the world. The Hellenistic Age is known to everyone from the school. Details were never given. Not even here in Greece. We have to study and make our personal research to find the sources and use our fantasy to interpret the sources.

"I wish all of you, now that the wars are coming to an end, to live happily, in peace. All mortals from now on will live like one people, united, and peacefully working towards a common prosperity.
You should regard the whole world as your own country with common laws, a country where the best and the brightest rule, regardless of race.

I do not separate people, as do the narrow-minded, into Greeks and barbarians. I am not interested in the origin or race of citizens. I only distinguish them on the basis of their virtue. For me each good foreigner is a Greek and each bad Greek is worse than a barbarian.

If ever differences arose, never resort to arms, but resolve them peacefully. If need be, I will serve as your arbitrator. Do not consider God as a dictatorial Ruler, but as Father of all, so that your conduct would resemble the cohabitation of siblings within one family.

On my part, I consider all of you equal, white or dark, and I would like you not to be only plain subjects of my Commonwealth, but all shareholders, all partners.

To the extent it is in my power, I shall try to accomplish all that I promise. Keep the oath we are taking with the libation tonight like a Contract of Love"

I belive the today historians don't understand Alexander The Great. I will write an article about Alexander and a second about his mother Olympias (Olympiada). After that I am sure ou my friends in here will have a better view of HELLENISM.

Dear Georgios,

This oath says it all.

It could be changed into a prayer for mankind's future.

I think Alexander the Great must be organizing the angels to help bring about this loving family on Mother Earth.

The angels are standing by, waiting for us to ask for their help.

Perhaps if more people read this oath, more people would ask the angels to help.

How is our Mother Earth? I hope everything is OK. I had a bad flu for a week and I was not much active in the communities.

I agree with you. This oath is angelic. Alexander the Great was well informed in religion. His visit in oasis Shiba was not just an occasion.

Hello Georgios,

I am a fan of Alexander the Great. The oath is a good code to try and live by. I strive to follow the tenants but like Alexander, our selfishness sometimes takes us off course. Thanks for sharing.

You know my father was into geneology and traced our family heritage to Alexander the Great. I imagine many folks are connected to historical persons.

Fan is a nice word. I am also fan of Alexander The Great. I am very interested in genealogy. I wrote an article once upon the time in my "old deleted" Philoxenia. It took me 15 years to set up the genealogy of the Gods and Heroes mentioned in Homer's Iliad and Odyssey.

Hey your father made wrong or the historian are not telling us the truth. Alexander had two sons murdered very young.
The Macedonian Doric dynasty was big. Cleopatra was also offspring of same family.

He had cousins and other family members with children. Not sure how and would have to dig into dad's files to find. Unfortunately 800 miles seperates me and the files at present. But will go back home sometime and will gather them.
