Life Is A Dream To Work On

The Oath of Alexander the Great

HELLENIC PAEDEIA (GREEK CULTURE)

In ancient time, Greece organized and gave the flame and the basis of all knowledge to the world. The Hellenistic Age is known to everyone from the school. Details were never given. Not even here in Greece. We have to study and make our personal research to find the sources and use our fantasy to interpret the sources.

Alexander of Macedon's Oath at Opis, 324 BC

"I wish all of you, now that the wars are coming to an end, to live happily, in peace. All mortals from now on will live like one people, united, and peacefully working towards a common prosperity.
You should regard the whole world as your own country with common laws, a country where the best and the brightest rule, regardless of race.

I do not separate people, as do the narrow-minded, into Greeks and barbarians. I am not interested in the origin or race of citizens. I only distinguish them on the basis of their virtue. For me each good foreigner is a Greek and each bad Greek is worse than a barbarian.

If ever differences arose, never resort to arms, but resolve them peacefully. If need be, I will serve as your arbitrator. Do not consider God as a dictatorial Ruler, but as Father of all, so that your conduct would resemble the cohabitation of siblings within one family.

On my part, I consider all of you equal, white or dark, and I would like you not to be only plain subjects of my Commonwealth, but all shareholders, all partners.

To the extent it is in my power, I shall try to accomplish all that I promise. Keep the oath we are taking with the libation tonight like a Contract of Love"

[Alexander the Great]

This is especially important as we go into the Olympics in China.
I am a member of Candle 4 Tibet.
However I do not believe in doing politics during the games.
We have three concerns for these games:
1. the protestors for Tibet & other human rights
2. the terrorists, especially AlQuida
3. people who do not speak the same language over reacting
With luck the security personnel will not over-react

Dear Deborah!

I have been politically active in more than 30 years. I blame them all.
The Olympic Spirit is above everything. The Olympics are very very old not as we know them from 776 BC or the the modern from 1896.

It was started to stop all kind of disputes and wars.

I am also a member in Candle4Tibet. There is only one thing wrong. If China didn't get the Olympics what should the Tibetan monks do? Nothing?
As you may have seen in Candle4Tibet I try there to give a multi-sided front against those who lead the world. China is just one of those who harasses human rights and they do that inside their country. Some other countries do that outside their country.
Our governments are pawns of higher powers and the are just obedient to those 30-40 families who rule the world.

They say "you can not serve two Gods" and that is true. In this case we serve human rights and those are for all without any discrimination.

Kindly Regards
Georgios

Human rights have their origins with the French revolution. (Liberty-Equality-Fraternity) Today it’s politically incorrect to think differently as if before 1792 rights were of no worthy respect! But it is quite a different kettle of fish to impose it to China who does not understand it. Try to figure the sense of combining liberty and equality. That’s an oxymoron if ever there was one. Where is the coherence of imposing to foreign cultures our system, when they see our countries with its civilization and culture falling apart by the day? The China/Tibet problem exists since some two to three hundred years, imposing our views of how things should be over there is simply being subdued, and operating as the pawns of the totalitarians that need these activists to globalize their dreams. This is very much the same principle used by the Soviets during 70 years.
Let the people dream of liberty, equality and fraternity, feed them with that mirage and they will battle for our plans. Breed them into believing that God was the cause of history's most violent wars. Educate them into believing that colonialism was the most ignominious of all rules. Give them religious freedoms; it will only dissolve even their highest authorities in that matter. Unite their countries in the name of fraternity, and that will soon insure the vanishing of their histories, pride and cultures. This time with our technology the tower of Babel will hold.

Dear Giorgios
It was a delight to read Alexanders Oath. It was as if meeting him face to face.
I will comment with quotations from the Bahai Scripts.
"In cycles gone by, though harmony was established, yet, owing to the absence of means, the unity of mankind could not have been achieved. Continents remained widely divided, nay even among the peoples of one and the same continent association and interchange of thought were well-nigh impossible. Consequently intercourse, understanding and unity amongst all the peoples and kindreds of the earth were unattainable. In this day, however, means of communication have multiplied, and the five continents of the earth have virtually merged into one...In like manner all the members of the human family, whether peoples or governments, cities or villages, have become increasingly interdependent. For none is self-sufficiency any longer possible, inasmuch as political ties unite all peoples and nations. and the bonds of trade and industry, of agriculture and education, are being strengthened every day. Hence the unity of all mankind can in this day be achieved. Verily, this is none other but one of the wonders of this wondrous age, this glorious century.(The 19th) Of this past ages have been deprived, for this century - the century of light - has been endowed with unique and unprecedented glory, power and illumination. Hence the miraculous unfolding of a fresh marvel every day."
"Behold, how its light is now (early in 19th century) dawning upon the world''s darkened horizon.
The first candle is unity in the political realm.....
The second candle is unity in thought in world undertakings, the consummation of which will erelong be witnessed.
The third candle is unity in freedom which will surely come to pass.
The fourth candle is unity in religion which is the cornerstone of the foundation itself, and which , by the power of God, will be revealed in all its splendour.
The fifth candle is the unity of nations...causing all the peoples of the world to regard themselves as citizens of one common fatherland.
The sixth candle is unity of races, making of all that dwell on earth peoples and kindreds of one race." Here we may notice the recent findings of fossils of early of humans in East and South Africa which we are all related to, showing we are members of just one family. The research on mitocondrie DNA has proved it.
The seventh candle is unity of language, i.e., the choice of a universal tongue in which all peoples will be instructed and converse. Each and every one of these will inevitably come to pass, inasmuch as the power of the Kingdom of God will aid and assist in their realization."
This language will be chosen or constructed.

I just want to add that each Manifestation of God in bygone ages have brought a special message. Jesus taught men to be "fishers of man", there was no talk of unifying the whole world of men. Each individual was to teach every other individual. Muhammad, however, can be said to be the Founder of nationhood.
Today Bahaullah has brought the concept of the Oneness of mankind. He says:" It is not his to boast who loveth his country, but it is his who loveth the world.".."Through the power, released by these exalted words He hath lent a fresh impulse, and set a new direction, to the birds of men's hearts, and hath obliterated every trace of restriction and limitation from God's Holy Book.".

How about that Giorgios?
Surely the net is oneof the means of bringing this about.
Kind regards from Laila
