I was looking at another sight and i saw the word 'Philoxenia'. I dont claim to know Greek - I studied Biblical Greek for years a long time ago - but there it was. Philoxenia - hospitality, love of strangers.
Suddenly I remembered ancient examples of peoples travelling part of the way to escort tjheir guests safely, to stories of people given sanctuary in the town square.
Piloxenia is a word of so much meaning. No wonder the ancient Greek has been described as a language of word pictures.
With all these pictures coming to my mind I just had to join .....
