- My grandparents migrated to America in the early 1900's. My parents were born in the States as was I. We were raised to be proud of our Greek heritage. I always felt as if God had made a mistake. I loved everything associated with being Greek. I married a Greek man and we moved to Greece 11 years ago. I miss my family and friends but my soul feels like I'm back where I belong.

The song is about youth, love, life, nature and water. Elitsa sings about a girl named Mitra. The girl is singing while swimming in a mountain river. Heavy rain is falling! While the girl is singing, a young cowboy is riding his horse nearby. He hears her lovely song and goes by her. And then they fall in love! Lightnings! Crashes of thunders! And ....
